Job description
Overall responsible for building capabilities and deliver finance business partnering role.
1. Looking-forward Planning & Analysis
- Participate in company strategic planning of the company
- Coordinate with related functions to build and update company budget / latest forecasts
- Frequently update actual vs. plan, understand root causes of variances, highlight and recommend corrective actions
- Responsible for financial modeling, incorporate major assumptions, run various scenarios to assist business strategic and/operational decision making
- Any ad hoc investment analysis
- Control budget spending (either capexopex)
- Working capital analysis
2. Commercial Finance Partnering: Partner with Commercial team to assist and/or provide constructive data-based feedback for better decision making and processes’ governance. This will include (but not limited) to these areas:
- Pricing, Gross-to-Net, Categories/ Brands/ SKUs profitability, Gross Margin analysis
- Supplier trading term analysis & negotiation
- Process of promotion planning, execution and claim-back practice
- Promotion investment analysis
- SOP process
3. Operations and Supply Chain Finance partnering: Partner with other business functions e.g. Site ion, Operations, and Supply Chain team in below (but not limited) areas
- New store feasibility study analysis for ion purpose
- Store performance analysis
- Supply chain analysis (sourcing, storing and transportation)
4. Join Finance leadership team, drive step changes in automation, capabilities building (both partnering and controlling).
Requirements
1. Competencies
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Ability to structure and build consistent data, provide insightful analysis for better business decisions
- Demonstrate ability to challenge “status quo” and drive step changes for an organization
- Good people leadership and interpersonal skill
- English proficiency in both writing and speaking
- Ability to effectively make decisions with limited time and information
- Achieve results through influence, persuasion, collaboration and relationship building
2. Experience & other requirements
- Degree qualified in Finance and Accounting area
- Strong experience in finance partnering to other functions
- Big 4 audit background preferable
- Working experience in Retail is preferable
- Member of a professional body (e.g. ACCA, CPA) is preferable
